Single-Sixer
Hello all, I kept seeing all these 10/22 parts for sale in the classifieds here, so I started buying parts about a year ago. Whenever something that fit my buy list came up for sale, I picked it up. I posted a few "wanted" ads also. Well ladies and gentlemen, here is what I came up with:
Here is the breakdown, and I want to thank the following RugerForum members for making this little plinker a reality:
louiethelump..........barrel and stock..........$175
trailduster.............takedown screw...........$0 (thanks again!)
bearclaw46............reciever.......................$90
blackmore.............trigger group................$35
bullsandclays.........leupold QR mount/rings.$30
-------------------------------------------------
$330 for the rifle.
I had the scope so that is not included in the price, and I did have to buy the reciever cross pins from Ruger.com for $5. The prices above include shipping and the FFL fee for the reciever.
Here's how she does:
Sellier and Bellot-
PMC match target-
Wolf match target-
My goal was to replicate the 10/22 tactical that came out a little bit back:

But I only wanted the rifle, so I built it myself. I think I did OK, it shoots pretty darn well, and that tactical solutions barrel weighs practically nothing. The QR mount is a bit of overkill, but when I saw it in the classifieds I couldn't turn it down. The trigger is not so good, it's OK, but it really needs to be reworked or maybe replaced by an aftermarket unit. I think this will be quite a nice little woods gun. Anyhow, thanks for reading, and have a good day :D
