Buff / polish Target Gray finish?

Has anyone polished a Target Gray Ruger to a SS finish? What compound was used? Pictures of the result?

I used flitz metal polish and a rag, it came off with not too much work.

I have polished the anodize finish from the frame of a Single Six. Used some 320 wet/dri paper then a Dremel polishing kit and some polishing compound. The strange coloration one the back strap in the second photo is a reflection and not the actual color. It is as shiny as a new penny.
