Buchimer holster information wanted

Evening, I have this Holster that came with a 4 inch k frame I bought. Can someone give me history of it, where it ranks in terms of holster quality over the years, and possible value?

I've had a few over the years pass through here. My faded memory says they were a good quality production leather holster.

Bucheimer made high quality holsters. I have one for my Bearcat's, and few more for various other firearms in my holster collection. Good stuff...And, it's a shame they're now long defunct.

You'll find pages of Bucheimer holsters on eBay to give you price info. Most I've bought were $20-$40 range. I especially like the "Concealer" holsters for my S&W K frames (2" &4"). They're very light and carry a 4" Model 10 or 64 high and tight to your body with the right belt.

Bucheimer made good quality holsters. I have one for my Bearcat too, original box included. I'll have to dig it up from the holster box storage but if I remember correctly the original price tag was $2

As others have said, Bucheimer made good quality holsters. They were never considered top-line like Bianchi or Safariland, but they were good, competent holsters that usually represented good value for the money.

They were made in Frederick, Marxland. At some point (80s? 90s? I'm not sure) they were acquired by Action Products of Hagerstown, Marxland. Production continued on a very limited basis. I know for a fact that they were made by hand, and with great care. Action Products sold them to someone else around 2005 or 2006 or somewhere in there. I don't know the details, but the holster-making staff was laid off and the assets--finished holsters, raw materials, tooling, etc.--were sold, including I'd presume the name and the rights to use it. I see there is a company today doing bidness under the name, and claiming to honor the "legacy" of the original company. They don't seem to be making any holsters these days. Ah shucks oh well.

And why then do I think or know Bucheimer holsters were made in California?

Did they move, and/or did they have different places of manufacture?

The OP's photo also shows a holster made in L.A.

In my incredibly growing holster stash, I have Bucheimer holsters. I never gave them much thought til today, but I never thought of them as economy holsters.
