Broken OM Blackhawk grips

Looks like someone over tightened the grip screw. Someone also did a really crappy repair.
They can be salvaged but you will have to remove all the old glue, remove the split pieces, clean them and use a two part epoxy specifically used for wood stocks.
Once epoxied it would have to be clamped till cured.
Once cured the surface would have to be filed, and then sanded flat again.

I know it looks bad but they are repairable. I can repair them for you and send them back.
I was going to say I can think of several different ways that I believe they could be repaired and still work.

Cary from CLC grips used to enclose a spacer to fit between the grip panels. They are a huge help to snug down panels without cracking them.
I did that the first time i blewout a gripscrew, later found out even colt's did that, proving it was a real genuine good idea

FYI, you can get appropriate diameter spacers at Home Depot. They have them in aluminum, as well as plastic (which will work as well and may be easier to fit length-wise). They are in the hardware dept in those drawers with various nuts, bolts etc.

Sadly,, many of us have seen this damage to wood grip panels on Rugers way too often.
Yes,, as noted,, they can be repaired, but it takes a good knowledge of woodwork.
I'll agree that the spacer idea is excellent. Long before I knew Cary C,, and his making grips,, I was adding nylon spacers inside my Ruger SA grips. One thing I often found was that the 1/2" length was just a few thousands too long. it wouldn't allow the panels to seat w/o some movement. The grip frames were polished just a hair under 1/2" wide.
So,, I'd take the nylon spacers, GENTLY grind or file away about .005 off the length. Perfect in most cases.

I have noticed that occasionally there's enough tolerance variation in grips that the grip screw will just clear the mainspring seat feature in the grip frame, sometimes not enough to allow a spacer. I have more than one set where I can just get the screw to pass and still align with the other screw hole with the screw rubbing on the spring seat. I suppose I could file a little off the seat, but . . .

Excellent. Now use a spacer inside the grips to prevent that from happening again.
