Brass Catcher for PC Carbine

I reload so I hate losing brass. The PC Carbine throws them far enough and not in a consistent area that I lose some. I see Ruger sells a brass catcher for the Carbine so I ordered one. But I have a Bushnell TRS25 red dot on there (awesome by the way. Once dialed in shotgun hulls on the berm were toast). Will the red dot prevent mounting the brass catcher? I gotta think I would have to put the charging handle on the left side.

You could move the sight forward or backward a little to make it clear I’d imagine. Post what ya find when you get yours. I am considering one too.

If you shoot of a bench get a collapsible laundry hamper, they are made from netting really cheap to buy. Position it on the bench so your brass flies into it.
A lot of guys in the gun club that shoot ARs do this.

I doubt that would work. The brass flies from about 30 degrees to 80 degrees. And I don’t always shoot from the bench. I ordered the one from Ruger. Hopefully it does the trick.

It arrived the other day. Didn’t have to move my red dot. It’s a basic design. Two little rods slide onto the rail and the brass catcher has two holes to accept the rods. Just slide in and off. Haven’t shot it yet but can’t see it not working. I did have to switch the charging handle to the other side.

Dummyme cant seem to see how this can attach to the rifle cuz the opening is at the top...laying it on the side interferes with the wall of the shooting stand. (I shoot sitting at the bench stand at my range...)

Old thread I realize. I bought this for $10, it actually was ok. Little screwing around getting it right. One jam when I first put it on. I think because it was not on right.

I am interested if anyone has moved there charging handle. Would make it easier to set up. I just wonder about muscle memory.

A 'less intrusive' solution: fabri-cobble your own 'brass deflector' that directs the ejected brass DOWN. Yes, it will still be in the dirt or on the floor for those shooting indoors but it will be in a pile. Doesn't take much: a coat hanger and empty plastic container or maybe just a piece of shop rag/handkerchief hanging from the wire. As long as the brass clears the ejection port, it works fine.
