Winter project. Supposed to be a Portugese
12 pounder. Don't know how close I came to
that, but I like it.

Thanks, haven't fired it, but the other one I have
(pretty close to this one) makes noise fine with a
small charge of 4F. No projectiles yet.

That's a chunk of brass($). Turned or cast?

It is 1" turned. 3/8" trunions.

Thought I might try a Mountain Howitzer. You can get
wagon wheels at a few web sites.

That's neat. I always wanted to build a CVA "Old Ironsides" kit. Unfortunately, they're hard to find nowadays.

There are a few web sites that offer
barrels, and you could make up
the rest. There are some guys that
really get into this. Milled out shiv blocks
and rollers. All kinds of detail stuff.
