Things to do or see for a Ruger fan while chaperoning a group of high school seniors?

On the south end of main street is a really nice war museum. Also the area around Bass Pro Shop is nice. Check out the old town south of the Interstate.

Thanks Don, but all rural kids where my wife has taught for years and I'm more of a grouchy grandfather type to them.

We parked at the KOA in town and when you left there and went toward the city, just at the first stop sign, right ahead across the street was a gift shop. I followed the wife in there and found a guy doing leather craft in there that was really good. Bought a scabbard for my 1892 Marlin from him. Really nice.

I guess the reason I called it an Interstate is that we drove up Hwy 65 from Little Rock and that twisting, winding, up hill, down hill had my Wife frightened to look out the window. 40mph up a twisty mountain, 40 mph down the other side with a curve and bridge at the bottom, and then up again. :shock:
By the time we got to Branson everything looked like an Interstate if it had shoulders and was made of concrete.
Lots of pretty scenery although my Wife didn't see it.

I have been through that part of Arkansas going to Eureka Springs, it is pretty. But I've never been on that route to Branson. I live 50 miles south of Joplin on the Oklahoma side. When we go to Branson, we drive up to Joplin and take I-44 to Springfield and then down to Branson. Its all 4 lane except for the 50 miles from my driveway to Joplin.

Branson, Missouri..... its a minature version of Nashville. Many of the country/western singers perform at one of the many theatres in town. There is also a theme park a few miles to the west called, Silver Dollar City.

Also a cool war museum and BB gun museum- same building I believe. Titanic museum was neat as well. I live just shy of 2 hrs north and go down there for mini vacations all the time. Silver dollar city is pretty cool, if you don't mind walking and hills. Lots of cool old county shops like glass blowing, blacksmith, and wood carving.
