Boy survives terrible accident

I was in town a few winters back... waiting for my "driver", to pick me up and take me to the store. A guy who used to live up here was building a house nearby (for his new wife) so I decided to go say hi....
as I walked over I was contemplating if he built on a slab or if there was a basement.... as I entered the house my eyes did not adjust fast enough and I plummeted down the cellar access opening, which was just inside the door.... there I was... standing straight up... eye level to the floor, laughing my *ss off...... at least I landed on my feet....

Our construction crew was adding a major addition onto a couple of teachers old home. When we were doing the foundation forms there was an old patio next to the work site and the couples 3 or 4 year old son was rocking in a patio chair not designed for rocking. We told the parents to get their children away from where we were working and that fell on deaf ears. Teachers not teaching, and 30 minutes later a big scream from said teacher as she watched her child fall face first onto a foundation form stake and rip his face open on a duplex headed nail in the form stake. Emergency room patched him up with a lot of stitches and it just missed his eye , luckily. So where did they let the child watch the construction, from the same damn chair!!! We left the job site and informed them that we would not be back unless their children were restrained or gone from the site. Teachers, yeah right, fools.

when our son was 10 he came screaming from outside into the kitchen. There he stood with a "Lawn Jart" stuck in his face. The neighbors were playing with these, and one came flying over our fence and pieced his forehead just above his eyebrow, exited just under the brow, passed in front of his eye and lodge just below his eye in his cheek. Because off the proximity of the lacerations to his eye the doctor wouldn't give him a shot of Novocain. Poor kid then had to get 9 stitches cold-turkey...

Lucky boy.
