Boxes for Liberty Revolvers

Wondering what colored boxes the Liberty Speed Six, Service Six and Security Six came in. Are they all supposed to be in red and orange boxes or were there some in the yellow? I have a GF32 2 3/4 stainless service six in a red box but have seen some of the security sixes in the yellow. I'm think the yellow boxed items are in a generic box since it doesn't have an end flap label. The Liberty .22's I have are moslty in the orange boxes. How did the Ruger company determine what items went in what colored boxes??

Most of the Liberty marked guns were all shipped before the yellow and black hinged box came into use. The only rare exceptions would be if a gun was held over for one reason or another and not shipped until several years after it was made.
Ruger didn't have a procedure for shipping their guns in different colored boxes. Whatever boxes they had at the time, they shipped the guns in.

Is that an additional GF-32 to the 3 you already know about or is it one you already have in your inventory? Does this make 4 known? Or is it still just 3 known?

Hi Chad Is this stainless service six .357 (GF32 2 3/4 inch) with Liberty markings a widely seen model or is it something more on the rare side? It resides in a red box. Just curious, Thank you

Since the GF-32 was not "cataloged" (not in the sales brochure or dealer price lists) for 1976, it was a special order item. Chad has told me that he knows of only 3, including the one that I have. Yours could make 4. So yes, they are a rare item.

Do you have any other stainless fixed sight 'Liberty' Six series guns? A GF-82 would be even more rare. (I do have a GF-84 "Liberty").

Well, I am pleasantly surpirised with hearing about the rarity of these stainless Liberty marked items. This GF32 has a S/N of 151-98883.
