Anyone here have the "boot grips" from uncle mikes on their SP101 ?
I searched and searched and finally found some ! Gonna pick them up tommarow .
They are not made anymore and are seem hard to find .

Anyone have them ? I have an SP101 with Trausch grips but have another that I may carry with these "boot grips" .

I have a set on one of mine. I think they are the best grips for carry. Smaller than the Hogues and not as tacky so they don't grab your clothing.

I also have a set of Badgers but I wish that I had gotten the boot size in them, too. They are first rate quality and fit perfectly. The Trausch grips may be OK but I could never get past that huge screw that they use.

I have Uncle Mike's boot grips on my 101. It does 2 things I like, makes the gun pocketable and changes the way it recoils in my hand. I have not found another grip that works better for me.

Geezer ,,,,

I am gonna put my boot grips on one just like your spurless hammered sp101 . How do you like your SP101 ?
I have a new in box one that I havent shot yet . I got it specifically to carry in the pocket or on the ankle with the lack of a spurred hammer . I am anxious about shooting it .

I've been looking for a set for awhile, primarily for the smaller profile. And they do look comfortable. See them every now and then, but always a day late and a $ short.... I thought about the Traush grips too. Eagle makes a set that would seem to be a good fit, but they're awful proud of them. Mebbe some day.

Let us know what you think of the boot grips when you put them on. I used to see them all the time, right up until I got my SP101, then they disappeared! Guess I shoulda bought the grips 1st....

tercel89, I like the SP101 OK. I wanted the DAO for pocket carry. Some people think it is too heavy for pocket carry but it works for me. I use a pocket holster and wear a good belt from the Beltman. Until you have a good belt, you don't know what you've been missing.

I do belt carry it sometimes and here is where the Uncle Mikes grips excel. The Hogues are larger which makes the revolver harder to conceal. Pocket carry is out with the Hogues, too. The Hogues have a tacky feel to the rubber and causes your shirt to cling to them. Not so with the Uncle Mikes. Recoil with Magnums is not bad at all to me, but some people don't like the recoil of the .357's. To each, his own.

While I like the looks and feel of the Badgers, the size makes concealing harder. I would like to find someone with some Boot Grip Badgers that would want to trade for the larger ones.

Gezer , I have a Beltman belt and it ROCKS!!!!!! I love it . I think I can tow another truck with it from my truck! .
I just got my grips today and when I get time I will post pics . I also have the Trausch grips on my other SP101 and will post it too .

I dig 'em... I use an IWB Don Hume clipped in my right front pocket... it vanishes when I let my shirt back down... and comfortable?... Wow!
