I just received the book, just released
"1942"
I finished his book
"Shattered Sword" Very well done
When Amazon dropped off package I thought they had made a mistake and sent a box of bricks instead. 😆 lol
I should have done more research. 1280
pages yikes!

I have 1/3rd of volume 3 left to finish.
Great series. Packed with information.
I had to consume in small bites :D
That's the beauty of my job. As long as things are running smoothly I can read and I take advantage of it. I rotate between kinds of books and it makes the shift pass nicely.

If I'm breaking in someone it's technical manuals and equipment books. Might as well teach them properly.

I'm thinking about taking my James Michener books when I go back after my ankle is healed and my surgery is done.

Two thumbs 👍 up for your reading time.
I have mentioned this site before.

Great deals. Nice search features.
Worth a browse.
I find I need hardcover instead of small print paperbacks. Must be the light. Or maybe my eyesight haha.

I just got some Audel Trades books from Thriftbooks. I will use them to help train the new people that we can hopefully find and hire. There are 2 pretty good possibilities we are looking at.

I can't count magazine articles and books I read in twenty odd years of operating. Then in the last twenty countless books were listened to while driving. Every genre under the stars.

I think I may take a break after I finish Twilight of the Gods......maybe some Louis L'Amoure ;) Before Tolls trilogy I went through Jeffery Cox's Solomon Island Campaign trilogy...very good and recommended.

100% agree. The author of my picture has packed volume with a mind blowing amount of info but I cannot read a lot if it at one sitting.
He has a section where the concentration camp guards are complaining to the camp commander about the water quality.
They had buried so many Jews it was leaking into the water table. Nightmare stuff.

Not quite the same thing but I'm currently reading. "Dear Dordo". these are the war time letters between John D. McDonald and his wife Dorothy from the Spring of '43 until '45 .... quite interesting to read her letters about what is going on in her life while he is gone as well as his experiences in the army and in India.
