Boat paddle / skeleton stock help needed

A friend of mine has a 10/22 with the boat paddle/skeleton stock. He's lost the "plug" that fits on the hand grip (heel?) part. Ruger says they outsourced production of those, don't have any, and have no idea where to find one.

Anybody else know?

There were actually huge bunches of them made. You just don't see them.
I imagine they're still having the heck shot out of them.

Anybody know if the same cap or plug would fit from the center fire boat paddles?

It sounds like something that could be turned on a lathe in a few minutes from plastic stock or even hardwood). Include a groove for an O-ring to hold it in place.
