I wanted Stainless to go with my others but no luck finding one. This one is a 1994 model in the Gray plastic box and never been fired. The prices I have seen are all over the place on used but these are older listings. What would be a fair price to pay?
Thanks

I've seen them sell from 500-850 for a real nice unit with box and papers. Stainless brings little more

mkII prices seem to have gone down with the introduction of the mkiv. Of course the odd variants are the most desirable.

Then again if they release a plethora of mkiv variants all the mkII values will plunge. That coupled with a soft gun market in general I think if I was buying I'd want a bargain price.

I was in the process of hoarding mkII's ever since the mkIII's came out. Who knew they would release a less lawered up model? At the time I figured the mk family was headed down hill. Which meant mkII's would always be desirable.

They are still great guns and I love them, but the value has dropped for sure.

It also doesn't help that when you google Ruger mk 1 thru 3 almost all the results are about what a nightmare it is to put back together. LOL!

I have been offered the one above for $525. I have owned MKIIs since the late 80s and have never had trouble stripping them or putting them back together.

$525 fair price for NIB. Mark II prices have dropped on shooter grade guns. But NIB Mark IIs still bringing premium. As well as the scarcer variation Mark IIs. The Mark IV will be attractive to new shooters but not older shooters and collectors. And with the Mk IV issues that keep coming up it will probably enhance the value and desirability of the MKII.

I'd keep it. I haven't seen any of this new Ruger stuff that is as good as my old Mark II. The Mark IV is cool, but it has been recalled (none even available at local retailers), and looks like it costs quite a bit.

I bought it today. Only had 1 mag though  The Hogue's are a must.
