I finally had time to make it to my local shooting range. I needed to pay my annual membership fee. But the real fun was trying out the new trigger work on my Blackhawk.

My favorite single action to shoot is my new model Blackhawk .45 Colt 5 1/2". Nothing special about this gun but I really like the way it shoots. It is dressed up with Honey Mesquite grips from CLC. I recently purchase a SBH hammer. (Thanks to Hondo44 who had an extra one.) I sent the gun to John Gallagher to have him install the hammer and do a basic trigger job.

I am very pleased with the results. It really shoots great! I really like the trigger break - just right for me. I shot a box and a half of cowboy action loads and wore out the center of the target at 15 yards. Mostly the gun, not me.

Thanks to Cary, Hondo44 and John for making this gun special to me.

:D . Sound like you have a 'winner' there. 5 1/2" barreled .45 Colt Ruger SA that is tuned .... Doesn't get much better than that! Now you need to post up a picture ;) . I was just out shooting one of my .45 Colt Flattops today too! Mine was tuned up via Munden Enterprises.

Sorry for the poor photo. Only have my cell phone camera now.
