Before I purchase a 44Special.
Does any body know what the actual dimensions of the barrel grooves have been for the 44 special?
Also cylinder chamber?
I would like to use a .430" dia. bullet as I am using for my old model SBH.
My old model SBH has a barrel groove of .430" and a .430" lead bullet is a close fit in the cylinder.

I expect Ruger uses the same barrel internal dimensions for both calibers...

(FWIW, my old avatar .44 mag Flattop "choked" down to .4285" near the muzzle and was a tackdriver )

Groove is not important. Chamber mouth dimension is. Mine chamber a 0.431" bullet. However, all guns are different and you need to slug your chambers & measure with a mike or use pin gauges if you can.
