Bisley Flat top trigger; grip question

Bought one and picked it up a yesterday; pulled everything apart, cleaned and greased.

The grips fit ok at best, I would say poorly. However, my question is related to the hammer/trigger. If it tighten the grip screw down a decent bit, the hammer seems to stick a bit when you initially begin to cock it; not really sure why unless the grip screw is somehow contacting the hammer spring?
I will probably bring it to a local guy to crisp up the trigger.

Grip wise; the factory grips do not bring happiness; anyone have experience with altamont bisley grips on these? Do they tend to fit a little better?

If it's new those are Altamont grips. My suggestion is to send it back to Ruger. I sent mine back and what I got back is absolutely amazing.

Poor grip fitment is a common occurrence on many Bisley models.

BE VERY CAREFUL DOING THE FOLLOWING; " If it tighten the grip screw down a decent bit,"
You can EASILY bust the inside of a grip panel by over-tightening them. I put nylon spacers inside my grips, in between the panels, to prevent this from happening.

I've never seen a grip screw cause interference with the hammer mainspring. But I have had a few that were so close that a nylon spacer did contact the mainspring.
