In my RENE literature, it states that approximately 100 RB-22A's were made along with about 200 RB-22W's. It then states that the RB-22 variation is "scarce". Any idea of the number we're actually talking about? Only 1 or 2 hundred sounds pretty scarce to me, but was curious as to why no number was used to define this production range.

The RENE goes off different things to gather info about production numbers. None of them are facts from the factory. The factory doesn't release production numbers. The info there is gleaned from what we know, as best we can find. And yes,,, occasionally it's wrong.
So, if there isn't a defined production number,,, the best guess with gathered info is used.

The first variation of the Bisley 22 was the model RB22 and that one was actually produced for 2-3 years before Ruger standardized all Single-Six Bisleys to adjustable sights and rollmarked cylinders.
I could say 2000 made or 7000 made but neither would be correct, so scarce is as good as it gets in this case.
I know one thing...you sure don't see the RB22 model around anymore.
