Tomorrow, 79 years ago In Portsmouth Naval hospital I breathed my first breath of air, My mom was alone as my Dad was at sea with the Navy. Wonder if I peed on the Doctor ?
I have a long future ahead of me:
Great Aunt Alice that went to 102 or was 103 ?
An Uncle (Dad's brother) who made it to 101+ ; I think his new wife's "vegetarian" diet killed him off he wanted to beat Aunt Alice.
On the other side, a Great Grand Mother who made it to 100+
A Mom who reached 96+ before letting pneumonia take her.
Guess I'll try for the 103+ and beat Great Aunt Alice.

Happy birthday! You have two months on me. Doctor told us I almost died two weeks ago. Maybe I am getting a new lease on life? I have a aunt just over a month from 102 who died last week. I went in sepsis shock four times before I hit the hospital. Spent ten days in, got out for about four, and had to go back to crush a kidney stone yesterday as a outpatient. I had been bleeding about 10 days before I went in trying to pass a kidney stone and got infection in the blood. When young we never really consider the facts of getting old. I had the other kidney blasted a year or so ago. Still getting over a hip replacement, fell and cracked it again but not bad enough to operate so am on a walker. Sold the plane, haven't been able to trail ride for over a year on our RZR. These are my "golden years".
I am lucky to have a much younger wife that takes good care of me.
