I remember him.

Down in the Boondocks...... he could still sing the "tremulous tenor ",.... which ain't easy to do as you get older.... The article says he was still performing as of 9/24....and had a full touring schedule.

Hi,

I'll always remember "Down in the Boondocks" but never really followed his career otherwise. Sounds like he kept pretty busy! RIP, Billy Joe, you've earned it.
