Big-Bore Revolvers - Book

Dang, got mine today! It looks great and I didn't expect it to be all color. Only had time to flip through it, looking forward to giving it a thorough read.

Man that was quick, I order a bit before you did.... I did the 'free shipping' deal and I think they ride a tortoise part of the way and swap over to a riding lawnmower or something for rest of the journey. :) .

I agree Craig. The photography is outstanding. A lot of gun books don't get full color treatment so hats off to Max's publishing company.

Me and the folks live in the sticks so we order a lot from Amazon. So we pay a little extra for the Prime membership. Which means free 2-day shipping on anything that ships from Amazon (regular shipping from 3rd party vendors).

I got the email that mine shipped today as well and I agree: this book will go next to Bowen's "The Custom Revolver," Taffin's "Big Bore Sixguns" and Elmer Keith's "Sixguns." I have no doubt it'll fit right in :D

Got mine yesterday (a day early too). Spent half the day reading it. A very good read and lots of nice pictures. Nicely done.

Got mine yesterday and read it cover to cover last night. Great book.

Mine just arrived. Pictures are gorgeous. Now onto reading. Already checked out what was said about the .45 Colt cartridge :) . Thanks for sharing your knowledge... Make another good reference.

One thing on page 177 the chapter ends ... "he was a man who would have

That's it! Would have ... what? :) Is there an ending to the quote? (I could write it in if there is).

Have enjoyed the book very much. Especially the first 9 chapters. Pictures are superb.

The sentence, chapter, and segment ends with: "been able to use it for all it was worth."

Damn editors. That was the only piece missing. Annoys the hell our of me, but when you have 76,000 words to edit, stuff happens!! Unfortunately, once the proofs leave my possession, I don't see them again until the book is in print. Sorry folks.

Just received mine; ordered through Amazon. Read the first two chapters right after opening the box.

Great book so far Max.
