I just got a stainless Bearcat (new, not used, and not a Shopkeeper) and I wish I had taken a closer look at it in the store (I was excited to find one after a futile search at all the other LGSs and high prices online). It seems to have a lot of play in the cylinder, end shake, and a cylinder / barrel gap noticeably wider than any of my other 22 revolvers. Is this normal for a Bearcat? Some of my 22s bind up when they're really dirty or hot, so I was thinking maybe this was on purpose for reliability, like with a loose fitting auto.
The fired cartridge was dated Feb 2013, so I hope it wasn't made during the rumored time that QC was slipping b/c all the manufacturers were pumping out guns as fast as possible during that time.
Honestly I don't know how much play, end shake, or b/c gap is normal because they're looser than on any of my other 22s (including a Single Six) and I mostly shoot autos.
