have a converted BearCat I let a friend borrow to shoot with his son. I got it back tonight and it is stuck at half cock... any ideas?

please excuse the lack of the right terms. By pressing the the cylinder stop. I was able to decock the hammer, but now it will not cock at all...

Is your cylinder pin pressed in all the way? That's the steel rod that goes thru your cylinder. It sounds like the transfer bar is binding. The cylinder pin pushes it out of the way until the trigger is pulled.

Let your friend know that he failed to notice, or failed to push the base pin in all the way - before he starts opining how "all Rugers are junk" or such. Operator error.
