I have a SRH .44 mag, and a Holosight. I bought a WEIGAN base for it,but the base is not quite wide enough. Anyone know what would be a good base that would work on a SRH?
What is the issue? Base does not fit the gun or the holosight does not fit the base? Unless something is wrong with the base there is no reason it should not work.
That is odd. The weigand base is a standard weaver. Did you try taking the one side of the holosight clamp completely off? I had to do that with one of my holosights as just lossening the screws did not open the sight up enough. Remove the screws and the clamp position the sight on the base then reassembly the clamp portion of the sight.
I would give weigand a call. I have used their weaver bases with holosights without a problem. On one weaver base weaver brand actually I had troubles. I removed the section of the base I then had to tip the sight at about a 45 degree angle to hook the one side on. Once that side was on I was able to gain enough clearance for the other side to drop down. I replaced the clamp portion and tightened things up. Weigand is a great company they should be able to offer some advice.
