Great pic's,,,but the one of the Badger has to be one of the best I've ever seen. Those Badgers resemble "little" Wolverines!!

That pic of the badger is likely to get sixshot outta Idaho. He'll show up with a few handguns, spitting sunflower seeds, while wearing shorts & a pair of croc's.

IF you go back into old stories from sixshot, you'll see what I mean. THere was this trip home from the fair, he was wearing shorts, crocs, and carrying a snubby 38 spl when a badger was spotted,,,,,!

There is so much magic in a scissortail flycatcher
when I was a kid running the tractor discing after wheat harvest, they would line up along the telephone line and swoop down grabbing grasshoppers out of the air next too me on the tractor.
They were so revered by the native shamans and spiritual leaders
When we were kids, always catching rabbits and ground squirrels and such, my dad preached at us about never messing with a badger.
I had a friend who had a big old dog on his farm that did not hardly have a face left after tangling with a badger.
As my grandpa told me "they only look slow, harmless and stupid"

I love to watch sissortails fly. There is one stretch of road in Kansas where I would always see them in the summer. Sadly it's been a while since I've seen any. I hope I've just missed them and they're not gone.

Personally I'd rather see the badger in your pic than one laying on a tailgate all bloody. I guess that makes me some kind of weirdo huh?
Cary I felt the same way when I was young, until I saw what they do to our barley,Hay fields & Pastures. Up home in Montana. They are nice to look at but, are hard on the farmer!

I have no problem getting rid of problem animals. I shoot the ground squirrels that seem to love digging under my storage sheds instead of the boulders on the rest of my 5 acres. Squirrels anywhere else on my property get a free ride.
I just don't enjoy killing animals for no reason other than target practice.
