Not to "whine" but I have seen on the Walmart thread and on the latest about Fed "Match" grade,
that ammo doesn't perform. What does one do?
A friend got a bad lot of Remington bulk and had 12 not go off in the first
40 rounds. Thinking it might be primer strike, I had him shoot
2 mags out of his new (broken in) MKIII Hunter. Same problem.
He asked and I told him to see the store mgr. He got told
it was his problem, now. What to do? Any help guys?

Well, We had a few rounds of Winchester ammo that didn't fire,, along with a new factory 38 spl round that the case was buckled when they seated the bullet. (THis was in the factory ammo that we bought for our WOT clinics.) A polite call to Winchester, got me a prepaid UPS shipper,, and then UPS picked it up & Winchester sent me a voucher for some more ammo.
Getting ready to do the same thing with some Remington 22 LR stuff.

Most any vendor does not want ammo back once it leaves the store. With old, suspect,& bad ammo I usually burn it up in a revolver or bolt/single shot rifle. You can go through the manufacturer if you want.

yes, it can also be in the "handling:": of the cases of ammo, used to be ,years ago, Remington, ,that came in the plastic boxes, if the case would 'drop' ( or hit hard) the "fulminate}" primer material inside each individual case, would "crack" and if the firing pin struck , right on one of these "cracks" ( or splits) the round would NOT go off, turn the case a few degrees one way or the other ( or as some say rotate 180 degrees) and they would then fire......go figure..as said above when we get "suspect" ammo, we do NOT use it for hunting or any match ( competition) but in other guns, while we'd "plink"...nature of the beast, "stuff happens...."

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I expect Mel to come up from
Seattle this week. Will let him use my single six while I try some
in one of my 10/22s. One of them loves Rem HP plated stuff and
my "testing" with his ammo, can complain. Should this still persist
then we'll try what contender suggested. Thanks again.
