Aug Mosin Match

Some cool shots from our Mosin meet last month...

We had a .22 stage and although we call it a Mosin match, anybody with a milsurp rifle can play. Lots of fun. Gonna do it again next month. I shot cast bullets this time and did well. Great times.

Looks like a great time. We have a Military shoot once a month at my club. I alternate each month by taking my M44, then my M91/30.

Look down to about the sixth picture, and you'll see what these shoots are REALLY all about! Joe's found this great little Mexican restaurant not so far from the range. Once he got me trained how to get there--"Rick, you're NOT going to Bass Pro!"--life's been a whole lot better!

Next month I'm looking forward to seeing if Joe can come up with a cast load that will outshoot Greg with his milsurp ammo (Greg's the fellow shooting that old Winchester 61.) Just before picking up the .22, he'd put five rounds inside a dime at 50 yds with his Mosin! Pretty nice... right now they're neck and neck, but methinks Joe's quite close to pulling ahead already! Then we've gotta come up with a nice load for Erica so she can shoot without having to get all bundled up like a Soviet sniper to save her shoulder...

Looks like a chile relleno?.. nothing finer, if its a good one.

I don't have a Mosin, but I'd love to shoot in a match like that with my .303 Jungle Carbine. Looks like fun!
