Last year I met Gramps at the Gallant-Pelham match. I was notified that another will be taking place April 5-7 at the same farm. I spent 3 days watching cannons fire and met a friend. I plan on attending again this time. Neither Gramps or I could provide pictures last time but I have some on my phone. If some of ya'll are close to that area perhaps we could get together.
Last time Gramps and I were both allowed to touch off a round, wow.

Had to look it up but it took me just under 3 hours to get there from the Sevierville Tn area. I stayed in Monteagle, bout a 12 minute drive to the match site. Rooms start at $56 a night but there are several very nice places to stay.

Hard to imagine charging toward that. Especially the canister load.

Yep, it is a BLAST!!! Literally. Meeting friends, and the smell of black powder, what isn’t to like? Bring ear protection :mrgreen:

Interesting. That puts it about 5 to 5-1/2 hours away from me. I may have to see if I can work it out. April is a bit busy for me,,, but it may work out.

Update, this shoot is still on this year. The farm has been sold where the match is. New owner has agreed to let this years match happen, but doubtful it will be allowed in the future. Might be the last one round here. I think VA is the next closest live fire event. I'm still planning on attending.
