Are the SR9s.....

I noticed that there are two models of SR9s. One that features 10 rd. magazines and another that features 17 rd. mags.

My question is this; are the grips slimmer on the 10 rnd models than on the 17 rnd models?

I am considering the Sr9 as a carry piece and the slimmer grip would be better for me....if indeed it IS slimmer.

No, same gun- Its just the mag capacity :roll:

Why is it bad news for you? Have you looked at the SR9c? It's smaller in overall grip size. (If that's a concern.)

Finding one is the problem
It sounds like you were hoping for a slimmer gripframe too tho-
SR9C is the same thickness BUT its a awesome gun as is the SR9 8)

They're both 1.27" wide, the SR9 and SR9c according to Ruger's web site.

But what's the dimension from the palm to controls? It looks smaller from the pictures. I still can't find one in any of my local stores yet either.

Hey hittman i have a P-11 and a good carry pistol.

The grip is shorter and the barrel is shorter. That is it. they feel the same if blindfolded other than length. The "C" has a better trigger out of the box, so I went with that, plus it is a just great carry gun due to the shorter grip. and it eats 9mm not 380.
