RR,
With light on gas, and an empty plane, my almost 200 HP Piper Super Cub can get of the ground in 40 feet or less, even less with a nice head wind.....up sheep hunting this past fall in the Alaskan Brooks Range, we had a 600 foot strip, I used less then half to land.....send the Long and Lat, ill stop in one day....don't ever put it beyond me...
I'm not bragging here, In fact, I try to live my life as a humble man, I know am blessed and a lucky man to live in Alaska! but with that being said, I can fly, I'm just one of them guy's, you see us on TV, hard core bush Pilot's ECT, ECT. that's what I do.....When flying, I live my life where most men don't dream of doing, I don't look at it as normal men..... thus I'm humbled, it's just simply, what I do.
My motto is: never be afraid to die, be afraid you have not lived!
Scott
