Before I start using Titegroup, I wanted to check with the forum and get advice for 215 cast bullet loads. thanks, greg

I buy it by the eight pound keg and am using it in 357 and 44 loads both. It isn't a "hyper velocity" powder like H-110 and others, but for loads in the 1000 feet per second range I like it.

Go to HODGDON's web site or their freebie reloading manuals. Start with the low end Cowboy Action Shooting data and work your way up.

I've also had good luck with HP38 and RED DOT. An eight pounder of RED DOT's clone PROMO is on my buy list...under $90 for eight pounds at GRAFS.

PS Go over to castboolits.gunloads and look at the group buy for a MIHEC 44 caliber hollow base wadcutter at about 215 grains. I've got the 38 version (among others) and that guy makes superb moulds. A 44 full wadcutter makes impressive holes in the target...not much trouble marking your shots there!

If you reload you can buy these bullets and make the ammo or buy the kit and make your own bullets.

You will want to read this article on firlapping on 'Gun Blast'.

I load alot of 41s but have only used Titegroup once and didn't like the results (my target looked like a shotgun blast at 25 yrds!) I've been using alot of 2400 and AA#9. Besides Hodgdon lists max charge for Titegroup at 1004 fps. I like my loads with a little more volicity. Accurate also has load guide on their website.
