I'm curious. I sent an SR9c in for repair, my repair ticket says barrel and extractor repair which really didn't make much sense regarding what I sent it in for. When I got it back, the trigger was noticably hard to pull and my barrel didn't look the same (finish is different and proof mark I don't remember seeing before). I kept thinking to myself maybe they sent me a new gun and just stuck my old serial number on it but dismissed it as a crazy idea...until....I spoke with another member who mentioned he was pretty sure he'd gotten a new gun in return as well.
Did anyone actually get a new gun that they know of OR does anyone else suspect they may have had their gun replaced rather than repaired?

Sent my new SR9c in twice for various reasons; got same gun (fixed) in return. Great Service.

They may have put the longer striker spring in it. That would account for the stiffer trigger pull. Also, the new parts wont really have any wear on them. some use and/or polishing might lighten it up again. The barrel is probably new instead of repairing the old one. Probably easier and cheaper labor wise to do it that way.

Hey Gizmo, that makes sense. You're right, it'd be alot easier to just drop in a new barrel rather than repair the old one. And the striker spring idea makes sense too.

With some of the things internally like the Striker Spring, you can get a longer one (they may be replacing them each time they repair an SR9/c regardless now) if you have troubles. This would probably generate a different, possibly heavier pull.

There's people who claim a lighter pull by simply removing the Mag DC. However, removing this part directly effects nothing in the Striker or Firing Mechanism. The lightness is most likely from disassembling the pistol and having something fit back in a manner that manages to produce to a lighter pull....how that actually ends up true is beyond me.

In short, even the act of disassembling the gun can yield a different pull.
