Anybody else watch this network? A few months ago they started advertising that they were going to run the old "Maverick" western. I thought "great" since I always liked that show. They listed it on Saturday morning, I think at ten am.

The trouble is that ever since, the channel menu says "Maverick" but what runs instead is always some informercial. I went to METV's website and contacted them and told them about the problem but never heard anything about it.

Does anybody else actually see the "Maverick" program on METV? If you do, where are you located in the country?

Maverick is on Saturday mornings I think on ME in the Baltimore and D.C. market. I don't alway watch it but I catch it occasionally. The stations that buy the programming sometimes preempt the ME shows for their own news or stuff.

It says that Maverick is on at 1000 hours on MeTV here in the Eastern time zone. I was watching it for a while till they started repeating them again. I do watch it every now and then if there is a show that I want to see.

I watch quite a bit of ME-TV but I can't say for sure when Maverick is on. I do know that Perry Mason is on at 11:30pm and 77 Sunset strip is on about 3:00am.

I only watch Maverick when James Garner is featured. The other guy tried hard but was no match to the likeability of Garner.

Trivia: Garner was such a good golfer he could beat many of the top pros of the day.

It's the only network I watch most of the time.. Great old shows that can't be beat today.. They just don't make T.V like that anymore..

We watch METV all the time; Love the old "Perry Mason" series and watch them over and over, stay up late and watch him as ironbutt er I mean Ironside. Lot's of great old tv series on.

I've never seen an "infomercial" on ME, it must be a local channel cutting in and running it. My favorite is "Colombo" on Sunday nights...one more thing sir...Carol Burnett is another one

Yes, I do and did so about 2 hours ago here out west. Funny thing, back than when all these shows were on TV and I was real young. I never watched them shows. Now at 60 years young, I enjoy watching many of the old Westerns.

As I said, the infomercial is not suppose to be there. If you look at the on screen menu while it is playing, it still says Maverick.

Cary, it could be the local station that is doing that. MeTV is being broadcast by a local station here in Fla.

This is on Direct TV.
You must have ME-TV as one of your local channels on DirecTV because I sure don't have it on my DirectTV. What channel number is it on?

The only way I get ME-TV is with an antenna from a local broadcast station.

I have always loved the Carol Burnett Show.. Tim Conway doing his old man routine is funny as hell to me. Some of the greatest television ever made.. There were so many times Harvey Korman couldn't even hold a straight face when Tim Conway did his routines.. One of my favorites is when Tim did the dentist routine with Harvey. Oh my god that was hilarious..

Here's that clip: and look at Harvey's face after the initial needle shot. He really had a hard time holding it together. Of course, Tim later said he did go off script and ad-libbed most of it. So Harvey had no clue he was going to do half of this stuff. Which made Harvey just as clueless as the audience..

And here's another wonderful skit that's even more relevant now. Enjoy the laughter..

Yeah, you could be right about that. It's on channel 20. I still have an antenna up but haven't watched antenna TV for years now. I should try it and see if it picks up channel 20.

Direct TV is only a provider for the TV stations. Here METV is on channel 8 Prime, one of the local NBC alternate stations. So it's probably your local NBC station that's airing the infomercial. And as Jimbo said, the provider doesn't have to give you these alternate stations.

Maverick was just added a few weeks ago in Denver. I get tons of old westerns on this channel. Perry Mason too. ME, THIS, GritTV, AntennaTV, GetTV, and Decades is the reason I cut the cable. So much free stuff and 1963 programming is way better than the fake digital effects and exaggerated emotions that Hollywood pumps out today. btw, Wanted Dead or Alive, Gunsmoke and Have Gun Will Travel are my 3 favorites
