I'm not from Texas, but got here as soon as I could. I always tell my daughter she is luckier than I am. I had to wait till I was 40 something to move to Texas, and she got here when she was 2 1/2.
I didn't go to college in Texas, but the big rivalry is UT Texas (Longhorns) vs. Texas A&M (Aggies.) I don't watch football and don't get involved, but it's a pretty big deal.
edited to add: After 4 different states, my wife and I plan on retiring here in the great state of Texas.

what would TEXAM mean? I have a zippo with that inscribed on it.
Not sure, but I've NEVER seen Texas A&M abbreviated TEXAM. Sorry I can't be of more help.
