We just got word from a former member of our church that his father had died. This family were faithful members until they were transferred to another city.

I never was to meet this Old Veteran, but his story was, in part, was that he was on board a ship and saw the flag waving on Iwo Jima.

All WW II Veterans in my family are gone now, and many more die each day. But what a story they have, and what a price they paid!

Thank God for those men and women!

We are losing them quickly.

I attended a Vet's funeral last week. A WWII vet,, Navy,, who was 97 years old. He was a character. After his wife passed,, he never re-married. But he loved the ladies,, and moonshine.

There were 16,112,566 members of the United States Armed Forces during World War II. There were 291,557 battle deaths, 113,842 other deaths in service (non-theater), and 670,846 non-mortal woundings. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, around 496,777 American veterans from the war were estimated to still be alive in September 2018.[1]

This part of America's history is almost gone. It will be a terrible loss. I fear progressives will re-write Americas history during this time, like they have many events.
