About 150 rounds down the pipe today (total of ~300 now). Only my second range trip with the SR9c.

No failures of any kind. Used some Hornady Critical Defense 115gr 9mm, and then 3 boxes of Monarch 115gr 9mm FMJ for a session. Always using the 10 mag with finger extension for these two targets.

This one is the Hornady CD ammo, 5 shots in 5 seconds at 5 yards inside of 5" circle. Total of 1 magazine, a few seconds in between each 5 shots.

Some high and left just a bit between the two ammos. Is it worth adjusting for?

Here's some from the Monarch 9mm. For this, I wasn't quite as 'concentrated or focused' as the above target session. I was kind of feeling the trigger pull, when it would go bang, how the recoil was, etc. etc..

Congrats on the successful range trip, and thanks for the report.

If your target was at 15 yards, I'd say leave the sights alone, but considering it was at only 5 yds. I would probably goose the the rear sight a bit.

Whats the distance that you should be shooting to ensure sights are adjusted properly, 10-15-20 yrds. I normally shoot 10 yrds. and fire 15 and 25 for distance familiarization.

I may play with the sight just a bit. The range I was at didn't have any lane distance markers except at 9 feet and 45 feet. I was just guestimating the 5 yards (15 feet), based on a few thing I noticed with the cables.

It may be a smidgeon high and left. I did shoot one magazine at 45 feet, and only 4 of 10 made the paper at all. They were all way high and 3 were left of center.

I'm definitely new at pointing pistols, so I'm guessing a bunch of it is still the nut holding it.

I'm new to the pistol world as well and ask questions all the time to learn as much as possible, even if the question is common knowledge amongst experienced shooters its new to me.. I've made minor adjustments at 10 yards and my shot groups are getting tighter with experience..But if adjustment should be made at 15 yrds then I'll change my practice to learn the proper way of doing things because I plan on carrying so if I need to use it I want it right...

I wouldn't change the sights until my groups were a little tighter than those.

I would be working on my grip and trigger finger.

That shooting is good enough for self defense however.

imho
