Every once in awhile I find myself looking at old S&W revolvers. I have always thought if I could find an old triple lock at a decent price I would try to grab it. A month or so ago I saw this old gun for sale and was able to snag it. I have read several times that many consider the triple lock one of the finest revolvers ever built and I have to admit this one has as smooth an action as any double action I own. One neat thing about it is its serial number, a low three digit number. I may look for an old pair of stag or ivory grips just for grins and giggles but for now, I will appreciate the old girl for what it is.
