I had a Puma in 454 Casull, had to sell it last year. It would cycle 335gr LBT 45 Colt handloads really well and was a serious thumper with the 454 rounds. I fed mine a bunch of cowboy and +P 45 Colt loads without a hitch. I bought a Cowboy Buckhorn peep sight for mine from Brownell's. I highly recommend one

I have been trying to find a long octagon barreled version of the 454, but not sure if one is out there. Mine was a 20" cabine, and even with a good butt pad it was a handfull in 454. Shoulder kick was not that bad, like a 20ga shotgun but the barrel jump with full power loads could have been helped with a little longer and heavier barrel.
With all the Rossi style 92 clones in Cowboy action, with thousands of trouble free rounds through them, I think the Navy like yours is one of the best for fit and finish, pretty wood and beautiful casehard finishing. Have fun, let me know if you ever decide to get rid of it.
