Another hospital run in a few minutes

No word on his surgery yet. I got home 3 hours ago. They are going to trim his skull plates in two places, and put a spring in somehow to draw the two sides together so that they grow together. Not sure how it all works but the docs acted like it was not a really bad procedure.

If you are so inclined- say a little prayer for the little guy we are transporting to Chitown in a half hour. Looking at driving in rain off and on today and tomorrow. We are dropping off a 4-month old Amish baby for surgery on his head. We took him up there in December for an initial visit. He was back there 2 weeks ago for surgery consultation and an MRI to determine their best way to do the surgery. Someone else drove them there for that. Today we drive up, get a couple rooms, and tomorrow drop the family off at the hospital for a few days and we will drive back. Roughly 9 hours or so for us home to hospital, so we are required to spend the night and not drive both ways same day. I'll be here when I ain't driving to read up on things!
Prayers sent

If you really believe in prayers, then just discontinue medical treatments. Praying is silly. Modern medicine is the only reasonable action.
Nothing silly at all or in the least when facing hardships. Mental and emotional attitudes can and do shape how a person approaches a challenge whether to give up or to fight. Hopefully you and yours will never face such.

I have faced several over the past 20 years. Four cancer removal surgeries, 3 eye surgeries, 2 abdominal surgeries and the medical treatments were all successful. Not one single time did I sink to the absurdity of appealing to some spook in the sky. Depended entirely on the best medical treatments from the doctors at the Veteran's hospital. Agent Orange cancers.

That is one where I would say that I hope for the best for you past, present and future on any issues for yourself and loved ones. That is where I would never denigrate another for what may bring comfort.
