I just picked up a Willy Clapp Stainless Steel GP100 a couple weeks ago. My neighbor is building a Pancake holster for it at the moment. It is still unfired.

We have had Freezing Rain, Sleet, and Snow since Saturday night. Anyway I made the trip into town today. Lots of Sunshine, a Beautiful Day in the Ozarks. Stopped by my local Gun Shop to see what might be new. Well we have a new Glock in 380, a 40 S&W Shield, a new Glock with a Green Bottom End, a new Glock with a Stainless Steel Upper.
AND
A Ruger GP100, with 3 Inch Barrel, Plus Adjustable Sights, in 38 Special. What a Bright Stainless Beauty. Of course Brand New and Unfired. I know these surface now and again. But they are not real common from what I can tell.

Head Scratch****** I am thinking my Clean as a Pin Collector Grade S&W Model 15 Snub might get traded in on this one. The Combat Masterpiece Snub is way to clean to carry anyway. No issues with blue wear on the GP100.

I have the Full Lug, Blue, Fixed Sight GP100 3" .38 Specials and they are great guns. Accurate, well balanced and negligible recoil even with Plus P Loads. Put the 3" GP100 on layaway and hang on to your Model 15. 2" #15's are scarce and will appreciate in value faster than the GP's.

Well another successful story.

My old S&W Model 15 Combat Masterpiece Snub.

ADP3 I followed your advice and kept the Model 15 Snub. I would probably regreat trading it off.

Now I need some different Grips, Possibly Altamont Fancy Rubber with Fish Scale Inserts. I also need a Fiber Optic front sight. I should have enough left over GP100 Wolffe springs to tune it up without making an order for more.

Another good day. AND the snow and Ice has about all melted off.

Congratulations on two great looking.38's. Now you have the best of both worlds. There's a dealer on Ebay from Thailand called jaruwan who makes some outstanding exotic hardwood grips for under $50. He is out of the round butt style at the moment, but keep an eye out for his grips. They are great.

Best Regards,
ADP3
