I have been wanting one of the SP101 in .327 ever since they were released. I attended an auction last night and finally have one. Appeared to be unfired with all the paperwork and box. I ran about 75 rounds through it tonight in the backyard, so far everything looks good. Now to find me a good holster. :D :D

I handled one not too long ago. Just about perfect is what I thought of it. Nice revolver!

I enjoy mine. Just got some accurate No. 9 to try some stout loads. A great revolver. It is one of my favorites.

Nice looking, I like those grip inserts. But the front sight? I have an SP101 in 327 and mine has a "regular" sight, not the fiber optic sight. Did yours come from the factory like this?

And one more question, is the top of the barrel blued or is that just a shadow? I sort of like the two tone effect.

Great find by the way!

I believe all 4" SP-101s have come with the fiber optic front sight for several years now. In fact, the only ones that I have seen that are 4" without FO are the out-of-production .32 H&R guns.

I have that same problem quite often!!!

My last 32 was a stainless Walther PPK/s about two weeks ago. I bought one of the 4" 327's when they came out. Of course, I like it. I am not crazy about the "Big Green Ball" of a front sight.. I may change it I the future.

I found the 4" 32Mag last year also.

Nice snag. Have fun with it.

Thanks,

Thanks Guys.

I had not handled one before. I thought it would be a bit larger. I have approx. 25 Ruger revolvers, but this is the only double action I have.

Let us know how the No.9 works out. I could also see this becoming one of my favorites.

The ones that I have seen on the auction sites all have had the fiber optic sight. Think I will leave it on there for now. I have to agree with 32magfan, not crazy about the "Big Green Ball". Not a two tone just a shadow on the barrel. Here is a two tone .327 for you.

Today, I stopped by the only real gun shop in the area near me, Belk Grocery. I found a 5.5" Single Six with adjustable sights. It is in good shape but has a couple of small pits on the top-strap and cylinder. Appears to have been fired very little and not much of a turn ring on the cylinder. Trigger is only fair but I think it just needs to be fired a lot. Best part is it was under $450 OTD.

It pays to stop often at some places, "just to check it out".

Sounds like it followed you home. Are you going to take care of smoothing that trigger out?? There are several small shops in my area, if I am close by I always like to stop in and check out the inventory. Never know what you might find.

Coach, You can't buy just one. Don't ask me how I know. The .32's are fun to shoot, mild recoil, cheap to reload. What's not to like about them.

That's a handy one. I use mine for the warmer months when I switch to a nylon belt. The GP100 is a bit much weight without a good thick belt.

Please post the holster you wind up with. I'm using a generic slide.
