I have been a Ruger owner for many years owning a number of 44 magnums, one of which was a brass framed 44 which i purchased in 1972,and like a goof i sold it a few years later.Last year i purchased a 50th anniversary model super blackhawk ser. nu. 049 and was wondering if anyone knew how many Ruger made and if you consider that number relatively low.By the way if anyone owns or knows someone with a brass framed super blackhawk(old style with no transfer bar)and there is an impression of a circle on the bottom of the brass grip, that's mine,LOL.I put it in a rest and tighten it too much and it left that mark.
I think Ruger made about 10k of the 50th Anniversary Blackhawks, but only about 2500 of the Supers were made, making them considerably less available. 49 would be a low number... but I don't know if it would bring a premium.
