This is one sweet revolver! Only thing missing is the manual & shipper... But man it's a crispy one! Varnished grips to boot.

RugerHound, you're killin' me man! I was lickin' my chops and rubbing my hands together thinking this was in the classified forum. When I saw no price...my bubble popped  Very nice! I have a shooter grade OM 7 1/2' FT that I let our Forum member's shoot if they wish. Your's is an ultra fine example that I'd just shoot the bejeezes out of if it were mine. In other words, I'm glad you own it, not me

Thanks Cholo... Sorry to startle you! ;) I had to look twice to make sure I didn't post it in the classifieds by mistake! (I've done dumber things in my time!)

I've got a shooter grade version of the same gun. That's my resolution to the "Shoot it or not" problem. I just buy two of everything! I reckon if WBR was here on the forum, he'd be rootin' for you since he didn't have much good to say about collectors. ;)

Any forum members who manage to get to Casa Grande Az have an open invitation to shoot the other 7.5" gun! :)

RugerHound, my favorite Ruger is the one in my avatar, a SS that our gov't bought for me, + ammo and holster, in March of '75 when I was brokeass in college. Long story  My 2nd favorite is my 7 1/2" OM FT. Startle me all you wish! Just don't put a $650 OBO shipped and then change your mind. That's not funny, no...not at all

You won't have to worry about $600 OBO! It'd take ~5X that price! ;)

I'm something more than curious about how you managed to get Uncle Sam to buy your gun for you!

I've told the story before, don't mind telling it again. In '74 I didn't have enough $ to buy shaving cream, much less my very own handgun. I met my soon to be (x) wife, and I was friends with her brother. Well, we went "parking" on the ridge and her brother lent me his Colt SA with the .22 mag. cylinder and I felt like King Kong! Chilvery was alive and doing quite well back in '74. Come March of '75 I still didn't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of...

President Ford had some sort of tax rebate where I got $150 back from the gov't. Pay off student loans, buy a handgun, pay off student loans... :? I came home with a Ruger Super Single Six, a holster, and bucket's of .22 ammo. The equivilant Colt was $115, the Ruger?...$90.25. I regretted not buying the Colt as they became discontinued. Not to worry, thanks to the internet I now have 3 of them! And so it goes...

The bottom line is Gerald Ford bought me my 1st, of many, Ruger's. Thanks President Ford!!! :D

Well how about that? :) I don't remember gettin' any Ford Bucks!? :? Then again, in those days I was usually drunk, so I probably woulda just p$ssed it all away anyhow!

At any rate, you did well! The gubment never did a thing for me except take stuff away from me.

Sadly Wayne it was NOT a gift... The only stuff that comes to my house that I don't pay for only says 'Resident" on the label! :)

Pete, it was a gift to yourself.....that is the kinda gift I also like to give to myself......I have a few that look like that and two that are consecutive that look like that...

and the package on the way to your house doesn't say resident    RR.
