I just had to share this. I put a request form and a $10 check in my mailbox on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 14. I received the letter from Ruger today, Thursday, Sept. 19! The revolver was nothing unique or mysterious, but - wow - that seemed awfully fast.
Letter stated it was a Single-Six Convertible (RSS-5X) produced and shipped in October 1964 to Coast to Coast Hardware in Portland, OR. Pretty well-traveled; Southport, Conn. to Portland, OR back to NC.
