Am I reading this correctly...?

I've read this, then re-read it several times/ It's an offering in a Widener's flyer I received via email today. I THINK it says that they are giving us an early 'heads-up' on ammo. This particular section shows one box (I think) of .22LR bulk ammo (525 rounds) for $154.85. Am I missing something? The other offerings in their flyer (not posted here) are equally insulting (at least to me) if I'm reading them correctly. Here's the .22 offering:

HI,

Well, look at Cheaper Than Dirt: every "run up" in prices over the last few years seems to inspire them to come up with astronomical numbers for their pricing, and they're still around. There are a lot of folks out there, new gun owners probably more often than not, who don't know they're paying way too much when all they want is a little bit of ammo to shoot in their guns.

Dearer Than Gold (formerly Cheaper Than Dirt) is another site for outrageous prices. Everywhere I look, 9mm practice ammo that used to go around $9.95 a box of fifty is $35 and up. And as for self-defense ammo, if you can even find it you'll be paying $3 plus a round. Outrageous.

What makes this even sadder is you can't get components for reloading. Primers are unobtanium and bullets are scarce. Powder goes for 3-4 times the pre-WuFlu price.

I started handloading my ammo back in 1954. Shooting and hunting was probably 50-50 reloads and factory until about 1970 From 1970 on I have't hunted with factory ammo with one exception, the .375 H&H which I bought for an elk hunt.That was because I didn't have brass and components for the cartridge. All my hunts since the have been done with my personally handloaded ammo. At my age, there are probably one or two hunts left in me if that many.'So as far s I'm concerned, those companies scalping ammo and component prices can take a flying leap at a rolling donut for all I care. Maybe if everybody just said, "Hell no!" and refused to buy at those prices they'd either change their ways of go broke.

The last time there was an ammo shortage, Jeff Quinn advised not to buy at those prices. There will be ammo again. He said to always buy 22 lr even if you didn't need it at the time, because you might in the future. I can't remember exactly how he put it, but it was in his style.

I sure wouldn't pay that much. What is that, something like $.30 cents per bullet of 22lr? Wow!

I'll sell a box for $130. But since I'm in CA I can only sell 500 rounds per month - I'll have to keep 25.
No shortage here either. I've been reloading since 68 when I first started hammering out ammo on one of these - literally

And the wooden mallet! I started with this method. .357M and .270W. I tagged deer with both calibers in 1980. Paraffin wax for lubing cases.

There is only ONE ANSWER to this fake 'shortage' and Jeff Quinn said it the first time: DON'T BUY.

When I run out of rim fire ammo that I bought for $15 per brick I will no longer shoot rim fire ammo.

When I run out of center fire components; I will no longer shoot center fire cartridges.

THAT, you can take to the bank.
