Automation is generally a good thing, but I wouldn't get on a plane without a pilot.
737tdi said:As far as the automation part, it is important but IMO should never be depended on 100% of the time. Almost all of the catastrophic Airbus accidents have been caused due to automation. Not slamming Airbus at all but the more you automate the less experience the drivers get of actually flying the aircraft.
