I saw a post on social media referencing Admiral Grace Hopper. Many years ago I. was president of our local chapter of Data Processing Management Association (DPMA). Admiral Hopper was an icon in the computer world. I wrote her a letter asking if she would be a speaker for our local chapter. Admitting that there was no chance that she would accept. But to my surprise she accepted! Now this was in Mobile Alabama, not some major city. What a wonderful, inspiring speaker! If you not familiar with her, google her and read her amazing contributions to the computer industry.
