It took 600 rounds for my brothers lever to start coming apart again after the first repair so it is going back a second time. The lever was never left open and it did pop open on its own this time again. I told him he needed two of them.
part of me wonders if its luck of the draw with the lever. When I sent mine back to ruger for barrel replacement it came back with a much stiffer lever than was in it the first time. I've got 3k rounds+ through my wife's with no lever issues *knock on wood*
