One of the type 1 RSS's I picked up in Tulsa.
Beautiful gun with cool provenance.
I'm fortunate to be it's next caretaker.

Now that is cool, Roy and my wife Laura used to talk back then at the NRA conventions , had told her he had one.......(y)(y);)
My wife sat with Roy, and Hank,W Jr on the couch at the S&W booth , and Mr Ruger was in front of them, in a wheel chair then, and they talked "children", Hank and his wife had just had a baby girl at that time...wish I had a camera, awesome memory

....and you got a NICE one there,,,way to go (y)

VERY nice! Interesting heritage on that one.

I met Roy a few times.
The first time,, I was at SHOT,,, saw him at the S&W booth,, signing his book. He had a few copies,, so I asked about getting one. He politely replied he'd only brought some copies for specific people. I fully understood, and we had a pleasant conversation.
Fast forward a year,, and he was at SHOT,, again in the S&W booth. I stopped to say "Hi" and he said; "Hang on,, you asked for a book last year. Here you go" as he handed me a signed copy.
Truly a very nice gentleman!
