A Pair of 8's

The Great Eights,,,, wish I'd had the money when they came out & bought all 4 of the ones I saw in a shop. Nice guns.

Nice set of guns.

I have 7 mkII's, I am at the point that the only ones I would buy are a great 8, or a 10inch.

Which seems crazy, because my favorite is a 4 inch bull.

Not at all. It's the long and short ones that are interesting. The 5.5 inchers are just hoo-hum although I have more 5.5" barreled pistols that any other barrel length.

Nice! I grabbed the 22/45 model when they first came out. Just prefer the longer bbls. Shoots "great".

I have a 22/45 CT Great Eight, and the 6 7/8" cousin (22/45). I think the shorter barrel actually out-shoots the G8, and that is saying something. No 'look/no touch' guns here, they hunt and kill every year. Nothing inside 80 yards is safe. They both outshoot some 22 rifles I've owned.

I've often stated the bar-stock barrels just look like, well, bar-stock to me. At least the milled sided barrels look like they were intentional to my eyes. Big fan of them with the improved 22/45 grip & release.
