My daughter is home sick. The school year is almost over. While she’s just in 9th grade I don’t mind if she takes a sick day, her grades are all A’s so she doesn’t slack off very much.
Anyway, so today I’m kind of stuck at home with her.

Sometimes I take Blizzard the dog to school and after drop off he and I go for a walk.
This momma bird has made a nest in an empty flower pot. It’s her third year back. The pot is right outside our back patio door. We give her space and my wife talks to her. It’s weird but I do think momma bird is used to us and isn’t bothered by us. The pot is up high and out of the rain, so she’s safe.
My wife had some meetings in NYC this week. This is a giant hot dog in Times Square. Sweetie couldn’t figure out what they were doing at all. You can see in the second picture it’s actually a disguised rocket launcher.
I found a 6 3/4 inch cast iron pan at the thrift store, I believe it’s a Birmingham Stove and Range pan made after 1960. It was only $6! It looks very new too.
